Sensorial work is about developing the senses and ability to discriminate between objects, sounds smells and tastes.

Sensorial work is being carried out by one of the students using jars, eggs etc

This creates a strong basis for intellectual growth. It prepares the child for the more complex learning they will later embark on.

Through work with the sensorial materials, the child is given the keys to classifying the things around him. This leads to the child making their own experiences in his environment. Through the classification, the child is also offered the first steps in organizing his intelligence.  This then leads to his adapting to his environment.
