Open Day – Saturday 27th January 10am – 12pm

Come and join us for our Open Day on Saturday 27th January from 10am until 12pm.

The Montessori approach has been seen for some time as offering a very strong start for the complete development of children from an early age (see The Telegraph from 2006 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1530096/Montessori-teaching-better-than-traditional-schooling.html(link is external)). It’s no surprise that many discerning parents are choosing this approach for their children’s pre-school and nursery education (https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/jan/06/prince-george-westacre-montessori-nursery-norfolk-duchess-cambridge(link is external)).

The Treasure open day provides an environment for leisurely and informed discussion with practitioners in a very well equipped Montessori setting to understand the difference offered by the approach. Parents with children who are currently attending or have attended Treasure will also be on hand for discussion and an informal exchange of perspectives. The event takes place within a historic and beautiful grade II listed building with extensive internal and external space for enjoyment by parents and children. There will also be tasty refreshments for all.

We would like to welcome all parents and friends to pop in and have a leisurely look around the nursery and preschool and our generous outdoor play area.  This is your chance to meet and chat with all the staff, ask questions and learn what Treasure Montessori can offer.

This is the perfect opportunity to meet with existing and previous parents and discover for yourself why our vibrant and caring environment provides a positive foundation and lasting value for children.

Summer show & Sports day

The day started a bit bleak but fortunately it remained dry for the morning and a lovely time was had by all.

The gardens were decorated with the children’s beautiful artwork, flags of the world to tie in with the theme of “music makes us all united”.

The morning started with the Preschool children singing a number of songs including the well known French song “Frere Jacques” followed by some dancing and instrument playing, their hard work certainly paid off.

Then the races began with lots of cheering and excitement as the Toddler’s pram race followed by the Preschool children participating in races including sack race, egg & spoon race and running races.

All the children worked so hard and performed so well, to celebrate everyone received a gold medal and certificate to commemorate a brilliant Sports Day.

Thank you for coming and we hope you all had a fantastic time.

Open day and Father’s Day Barbeque

On Saturday 17th June we held our Open day and our Father’s day celebration afternoon, thank you to everyone who came…what a fantastic day, the weather was amazing and a lovely day was had by all.

The morning started with an Open day, introducing prospective parents to the Nursery, answering any questions and showing parents and children around…the new children enjoyed playing in the garden and experiencing the exciting new environment.

Then, afterwards we started the barbeque and the Father’s day celebrations began.  The food was delicious and a big thank you goes out to the chefs for their superb culinary skills.

The children had a fantastic time together, playing with the bubbles and of course the water, sand and the outside play area…then it was time for the fantastic show.

The pre-school children gathered together and under the direction of Ms Floriana and Ms Claire performed a beautiful rendition of the well known song The Wind Beneath my Wings with actions and a special song especially for Dad…it was wonderful and all their hard work paid off.

It was soon time for everyone to go home…tired and happy.

Thank to everyone who came and hope everyone had a brilliant time.
